Worship at Highlands
At Highlands, worship is a collaborative effort involving various teams that contribute diverse styles of worship. One Sunday, the music might resemble that of a folk band, while the next Sunday could feature a men’s quartet. On another occasion, worship might be pre-recorded and led by a group of singers. Our focus at Highlands is on the “Heart of Worship” rather than on performance. In addition to the music teams, we have a dedicated group of volunteers who take turns leading, offering prayers, sharing a psalm, and making announcements.
Children's ministry
Our Sunday School is designed to create a sense of belonging and value for each child within a supportive community. Through carefully selected curriculum and engaging activities, we encourage children of all ages to explore and express their faith in meaningful ways. By fostering a warm and inclusive environment, we aim to cultivate a deep understanding of faith that extends beyond the walls of our church.
Bible Studies
At Highlands, there are plenty of studies to participate in. One of our most popular studies is the online Monday Night Zoom study led by Wayne (Pastor Dad) and Shari. Everyone is welcome, and gathering together during the cold and dark winter nights is a great way to connect.
Walking Club
The walking club is more than just an activity – it’s an institution. During the winter, our seniors gather at Londonderry Mall, and in the summer, they convene at the church on Tuesday mornings. It’s a fantastic way to connect, and there’s always space for one more.
Soup and Sandwich
We believe sharing a meal is essential to getting to know each other. That is why we gather for soup and sandwiches once a month after church. We provided the soup, and you bring the sandwiches and goodies; it’s a good ol’ potluck. It’s a wonderful time of fellowship; the kids think the desserts are the best. Everyone is welcome; even if you forgot to bring something, there is always enough to share.
